Anyone modernizing or planning a new hotel invests heavily in a harmonious interior design. High-quality materials, lighting, furniture, and art create an atmosphere that guests remember. But when it comes to audio planning, the same question often arises:
How can music be integrated without loudspeakers disrupting the design?
Especially in boutique hotels, wellness areas, or historic buildings, visible loudspeakers often don't match the desired aesthetic. At the same time, high-quality sound is becoming increasingly important as part of the guest experience. Whether it's subtle background music in public areas or individual music playback in hotel rooms – audio solutions today must integrate seamlessly into the overall concept of a hotel.
In many hotel projects, sound reinforcement is only considered when the interior design concept is largely established. Furniture has been selected, lighting is planned, and artworks set design accents. Often, only the remaining available space is then left for loudspeakers.
The result is often visible loudspeakers or retrofitted installations that are functional but do not optimally harmonize with the interior design.
However, modern audio technology no longer has to be a compromise. If it is included early in the planning, it can become part of the design concept itself.
An example of this approach is loudspeaker pictures. Instead of installing a wall picture and a separate loudspeaker, they combine both functions in one element.
The picture not only takes on a decorative task but also ensures high-quality music playback. At first glance, it looks like a high-quality wall picture. Only when in use does it become clear that a fully integrated loudspeaker solution is hidden behind it.
Especially in hotels, this approach opens up new possibilities. Individual motifs, photographs, or artworks can be specifically integrated into the room concept without having to plan for additional visible audio technology.
Our current reference at the
Villa & Hotel am Park in Reichenbach. shows how this principle can be implemented in practice.
During the renovation of the historic villa, an audio solution was sought that would preserve the character of the listed building. Classic loudspeakers would have visibly complemented the carefully designed ambiance – exactly what they wanted to avoid.
The decision was made for SoundPicture Pro BT. The historical blueprint of the villa was chosen as the motif.

This not only created a high-quality audio solution but also a design element with a direct connection to the history of the house. The loudspeaker technology recedes visually into the background, while the picture becomes part of the room experience.
Modern hotels want to offer their guests more than just functional equipment. They create experiences and value a harmonious atmosphere down to the smallest detail.
That's why it's worthwhile to consider audio technology not at the end of a project, but to integrate it into the design concept from the very beginning. Solutions like loudspeaker pictures show that high-quality sound and sophisticated interior design no longer have to be contradictory today.
Perhaps the decisive question in hotel planning will no longer be:
"Where do we put the loudspeakers?", but
"How can they meaningfully complement the design concept?"
Our current reference of the
Villa & Hotel am Park in Reichenbach. shows what this can look like in practice.
Whether it's a hotel, restaurant, wellness area, or another property project – the earlier audio technology is integrated into the planning, the more harmoniously it can be incorporated into the overall concept.
