Great sound for great ships
The cruise industry boom shows no signs of slowing down, with more and more passengers opting for relaxation, recuperation, and entertainment on the high seas. WHD, with its audio solutions, has been well-equipped for this for years and sees great development potential on board cruise ships. For guests to enjoy high-quality sound even on deck, factors such as saltwater resistance must be considered in addition to very high sound quality. Saltwater resistant, proven, and optimized: WHD's AL 10. That's why the AL 10 loudspeaker from WHD, a compact saltwater-resistant and weather-resistant sound column, is now also being planned for further cruise ships at MEYER WERFT.
These have already been used in large numbers on numerous other cruise ships, in theme parks, and various outdoor gastronomic areas, and have now been further developed and perfected for MEYER WERFT with the help of this experience.
The AL 10 is equipped with two saltwater-resistant loudspeaker chassis, has a grille and mounting bracket made of V4A stainless steel, a cable gland specifically optimized for ship cables, and waterproof seals. Thanks to these features in combination with the proven high-quality sound, WHD was able to prevail in the benchmark with the AL 10.
