The SoundPad is a thin wooden soundboard. It uses Bluetooth technology to make music audible and tangible through vibrations in the wood and is used in educational and therapeutic settings. In principle, it is a wonderful product from the musical instrument manufacturer resono in Schramberg, Baden-Württemberg. However, the sound quality still seemed to have room for improvement, the performance was limited, and the sound potential was not fully exploited. So what to do? Help was not far away, and Konrad Gießibl, music therapist and developer of the SoundPad, found some good answers in Deißlingen, about 20 kilometers away, at WHD.
