Garden Loudspeakers: New Dynamic Sound Adjustment and Streaming Options

WHD Adaptive Sound Plus

Just in time for summer, WHD has now equipped three of its weather-resistant garden loudspeakers with the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip: the granite-grey stone loudspeaker SL 25/2 DSP, the grey 2-way garden loudspeaker GL 100, and the 360° omnidirectional speaker with light R 1900. A proprietary algorithm was developed for the DSP chip, which performs dynamic sound adjustment in the loudspeaker. This technology, WHD Adaptive Sound Plus, ensures, among other things, that the listener experiences high-quality sound even at low volumes. WHD Adaptive Sound Plus thus corrects the human ear's characteristic inability to perceive the full sound spectrum at low music volumes.

WLAN and Bluetooth as standard

With the latest update, WHD also equipped the garden loudspeakers with both WLAN and Bluetooth. Thanks to this dual streaming option, customers no longer have to choose between the two technologies when purchasing. WHD thus increases flexibility and application possibilities for the user. This innovation also applies to the granite-grey stone loudspeaker SL 25/2 DSP, the grey 2-way garden loudspeaker GL 100, and the 360° omnidirectional speaker with light R 1900.

Music can be streamed from smartphones, MP3 players, tablets, via internet radio, or online music services to the loudspeakers, directly onto the terrace and into the garden. Furthermore, the garden loudspeakers can be easily integrated into an existing multi-room concept: Those who have already divided their sound environment into zones can integrate the garden loudspeakers into an existing setup via WLAN, extend the zones to the outdoor area, and control them via the WHD Multi-Room App.

Outdoor Loudspeakers for Commercial and Private Use

The climatic conditions outdoors place special demands on the respective sound systems. Therefore, WHD garden loudspeakers are climate-resistant and robust; they withstand extreme weather conditions such as heat, snow, and hail and can thus be used all year round. The garden loudspeakers developed by WHD in the Black Forest have proven themselves many times at home and abroad: for example, in the outdoor areas of the amusement parks Belantis near Leipzig and Gardaland at Lake Garda, as well as in Europe's largest tropical landscape in Tropical Islands in Brandenburg. Sound systems with WHD garden loudspeakers have also been installed in the extensive hotel complex of the five-star hotel La Marquise Luxury Resort Complex on Rhodes, as well as in the pool area, on terraces, and in olive groves of a Majorcan finca. In a Zen garden in the Chinese metropolis of Shenzhen, several omnidirectional speakers with light provide the appropriate sound atmosphere and invite relaxation.
