Garden speakers with Wi-Fi and plenty of power

by WHD sounds good on August 24, 2016

While party cellars are preferred in winter, terraces and gardens are the preferred venues for all kinds of celebrations in summer. After all, the grill and freezer are quickly at hand. Only a reasonable sound system is a bit more complicated outdoors, especially in larger areas you would need a multiroom system under the open sky. But it can also be more specific, because in this respect the GL 100 WR from WHD is also suitable, which as a weatherproof representative of multiroom components has a lot to offer.

Among other interesting details, the multiroom capability is, of course, the decisive factor for the GL 100 WR. Like some other WHD products (for example, the Qube, which we already tested in a multiroom setup), it can be supplied with music via a free smartphone app. This is done via the "Multiroom Player" application, which can stream music to up to six speakers simultaneously. The music collection can be stored on the smartphone itself, on a NAS drive, or on other storage media integrated into the WLAN – it doesn't get more convenient than that.
