WHD industrial solution: This charging station sounds good!

Southern Black Forest meets Central Franconia – this is the new cooperation between WHD and dezony GmbH from the Franconian Lake District. WHD is equipping the dezony IQ, an innovative charging station for private use, with the appropriate audio technology. The charging station thus also becomes a loudspeaker, thanks to a loudspeaker chassis with a plastic basket, weatherproof membrane, and neodymium magnet.

Positive experience through integrated lighting and audio concept

The 2 × 5 watt stereo sound system plays music on demand via the preferred streaming service or provides status messages about the current charging progress. The sound module, together with the integrated lighting concept, thus ensures a positive interaction between user and technology.

Interactive charging infrastructure: Added value for users and manufacturers

Electromobility is an enormous growth market. A market with a future, a market for inventiveness. So it was no wonder that WHD was curious about the idea of a sound-emitting charging station – and quickly had a solution at hand. For the pre-series, the audio experts were initially able to use the HLS 51 halogen spot loudspeaker. This was first adapted for the charging station with an adapter from a 3D printer until the finished series part was fully developed.

In Central Franconia, too, people were satisfied: “The cooperation with WHD is of great importance to us. The joint development and continuous exchange with a company with such a high level of vertical integration is very valuable to us,” says Managing Director Rüdiger Sonntag.
