The VoiceBridge 2.0: In use for healthcare

by Stefan Huber on March 25, 2021

Good communication without signal delay

In vaccination centers, hospitals and pharmacies: The VoiceBridge 2.0 is in use for our health! When medical masks and acrylic glass walls make communication difficult, the fully automatic intercom system helps: Thanks to precise alignment, effective noise reduction and echo compensation, staff, customers and patients can understand each other better again, without effort or frustration. "In healthcare facilities, it is extremely important to be able to conduct information and counseling sessions as precisely as possible and without misunderstandings," says Stefan Huber, CEO of WHD. "With the help of the VoiceBridge 2.0, this succeeds effortlessly and without any signal delay."

Pharmacies: Secure consultations

Early in the Corona pandemic, pharmacists relied on the VoiceBridge, as their businesses were among those that had continuous customer traffic despite the lockdown. The acrylic glass walls and masks increasingly hindered communication here, and many customers instinctively moved sideways around the sneeze guard to hear more clearly. The VoiceBridge version with a Bluetooth headset was finally met with great enthusiasm, allowing staff to remain in contact with customers at the sales counter while walking to the storeroom.

A look across the border: Belgium

In two northern Belgian cities, several VoiceBridges are also in full use: In Genk, 12 units were installed in the reception area of the central vaccination center, and in the port city of Antwerp, 13 units were installed in patient admissions of three hospitals. In both cases, these were acoustically problematic rooms where helpers had to contend with difficult, reverberant acoustics. Staff in Genk and Antwerp now report that the VoiceBridge has significantly facilitated and relaxed their work. The VoiceBridge is also already in use in a district vaccination center in Germany, and other vaccination centers have expressed interest in our innovative technology.
