Marc Cain

Marc Cain, a traditional premium brand for stylish women's fashion, celebrated the reopening of its Berlin store on the famous Friedrichstraße in 2013 – just in time for Fashion Week. To ensure that the shopping experience for all customers was not only aesthetically and haptically, but also acoustically high-quality, WHD was commissioned with the planning, delivery, and installation of a suitable sound system concept. The R 240 HQ built-in loudspeakers, awarded the Innovation Prize for Architecture and Technology, were chosen: Equipped with a particularly light and rigid membrane made of fiberglass-reinforced material and a high-quality tweeter dome, they now offer all customers and employees pleasant, crystal-clear sound. In addition to the technical aspect, seamless integration into the store's special color and interior design played a major role in the selection: the individual painting of the R 240 HQ was done in a specially matched white tone for Marc Cain, and plastic covers were chosen for the loudspeakers to optimally harmonize with the store ceiling and lights.

At the heart of the sound concept for the store is the 5-zone amplifier AMP 550. In addition to powerful performance, the customer was convinced by its ease of use: Connected to the sound card of a computer, which controls the music selection, volume and sound for the various areas can be easily adjusted by all employees individually for each zone.
