Madrid: The airport sounds good

 
The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport sounds good - thanks to audio technology from WHD! For the new, spectacular expansion of Spain's largest and most important airport, WHD, commissioned by Lexon from Barcelona, not only supplied optimal technology but also impressive design in 2006: Over 400 spherical speakers KL 1603 found a very special new home under the imposing roof of the main terminal. To fit into the award-winning architectural concept, they were painted in the special color "silver" and finally suspended not by a cable, but by a rod. For the gates, WHD also supplied over 800 MX 50 units, a 2-way HiFi box with bass reflex port, also in silver, as well as 20 WL 10 wall speakers for use in small rooms and in conjunction with electroacoustic emergency warning systems.
 
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is Spain's largest and most important aviation hub and one of Europe's largest airports with around 50 million passengers per year. The new building, designed by Antonio Lamela and Richard Rogers, was awarded the Sterling Prize, the UK's most important architecture award, in 2006.
