The WHD Touch Panel, TP 4200, is a programmable wall control for audio systems, designed for flush-mount installation. It is suitable for the AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier and the AMP 1200 mixing amplifier. The combination of touch and action buttons provides the best control comfort with quick selection of important functions. Additionally, the control panel includes a timer function and password protection against unauthorized access.
The TP 4200 is an optional, central control element for the WHD AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier and the AMP 1200 mixing amplifier: One or more users can remotely control and organize the defined music zones of an amplifier. The combination of pre-set touch and action buttons ensures quick and reliable access to important functions.
Operation is very simple and includes two language options (German, English). Installation is straightforward and quick thanks to a step-by-step guide. It is easy to name zones and sources on the TP4200. The action buttons include the functions: mute, source selection, and volume control for the respective music zone. Additionally, acoustic and haptic feedback can be enabled if desired.
The touch panel can be connected to a LAN via RJ 45 / POE. Wireless connection via WLAN is also possible. Power can be supplied either via a PoE adapter or an external 12VDC power cable.
Up to four mono zones and two stereo zones can be configured per control unit – making the touch panel ideal for smart home systems. A panel can be configured individually or synchronized with an already configured TP 4200. Both single and multiple touch panels can operate a multi-zone amplifier. The free PC software even allows control of up to 4 amplifiers.
Each zone has 3 volume levels for the maximum volume: Loud (0dB), moderate (-6dB), background music (-12 dB). Based on these settings, optimized DSP settings for connected WHD loudspeakers are selected and thus optimally adjusted for listening.
The TP 4200's timer function allows radio and music to be played automatically based on time and zone: This defines which sound source should be switched on or off in one or more zones at a specific time. It is also possible to set specific days per timer setting: For example, Monday to Friday from 8 AM internet radio for the breakfast room, on weekends lounge music until 10:30 PM on the terrace.
Password protection also prevents unauthorized persons from making unwanted changes directly in the settings. Individual zones that should not be controlled via the respective touch panel can also be hidden in the touch panels.
Additionally, the control touchscreen can serve as a clock display, as multiple screen options are offered: 2x clock motifs, 3x WHD logo motifs, 1x dark display motif. For commercial use, we also offer custom screen savers upon request, e.g., one with the customer's logo.
The modern and elegant design blends into any interior and is timeless. Wall mounting can be done in a standard flush-mounted box. No additional frame is required. The touch panel is therefore a clever addition for both domestic and commercial use.
