WHD designs its speakers as carefully as a chef prepares a menu. The distinctive result is enjoyable to hear and see over the long term. Wi-Fi music streaming is done via the standard interfaces Airplay, DLNA, and UPnP in conjunction with our free WHD Multiroom Player App (Link to video). You can listen to music stored on the internal hard drive of your smartphone, tablet, and laptop via your home network, as well as music you manage on your media server and in the cloud. Furthermore, you can stream music from any apps that are Airplay, DLNA, and UPnP compatible to the speaker. Spotify's music collection can be transmitted to the speaker via Wi-Fi using Spotify Connect. Deezer is directly integrated into the WHD Multiroom Player App, allowing direct access to its music program if you have a subscription. With the WHD Multiroom Player App, you get access to over 1000 radio stations and also gain the following practical advantages:
Thanks to the standalone radio function, your playlist – radio station playlist from the WHD app and the playlist with other tracks and radio stations you manage on the network – is immediately on air after switching on the speaker, without the need for a smartphone or tablet. This way, you can quickly and easily listen to your favorite stations during breakfast in the morning. Additionally, your family can easily listen to their favorite playlist via the standalone radio function, even if you leave Wi-Fi reception.
A multiroom system is also possible via the app when using multiple WHD Wi-Fi speakers simultaneously. Combine the Qube with several speakers from our (W)LAN-Qube series and listen to different music in different rooms at the same time. Expecting visitors and want to create an atmosphere with style? Play a playlist on all WHD (W)-LAN wireless speakers simultaneously, and the party can begin.
Music streaming via Wi-Fi occurs within the Wi-Fi reception range, depending on the router used and the respective Wi-Fi network.
