The AMP 4200 is a future-oriented 4-zone Class D amplifier for 4 speaker zones (4/8 Ohm/70V/100V - selectable per output) with 200 W output power per zone. DSP presets and equalizer functions can be freely configured for each zone via the clear web interface. The device also allows storage of up to 20 presets. Additionally, the four inputs can be configured to the outputs via the web GUI. Furthermore, configuration can be done either directly on the device using a rotary control or display on the front panel. In addition, the device includes a power-saving function, which automatically switches the device to standby mode when no music is playing. The AMP 4200 is suitable for 19" rack mounting or as a standalone device. In combination with the very easy-to-use Touchpanel TP4200, which can be purchased separately, the user can operate the system intuitively.
The new AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier from WHD is a powerful, network-enabled multi-room audio solution for up to four speaker zones, providing 4 × 200 watts in just one rack unit. The multi-zone amplifier features an extremely linear frequency response and is suitable for both low-impedance and 100-volt speakers. The 100 volts are generated electronically and thus without loss. Sources can be fed via two stereo or four mono line inputs. The AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier is ideally suited wherever different sound sources need to be distributed to one or more zones: in hotels and restaurants, for relaxation music in wellness areas or lounge music in bars, as well as for retail stores or upscale residential areas. For more than four zones, another AMP 4200 can be used.
The AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier can be integrated into the respective TCP/IP network and thus coupled and controlled with other IP-enabled devices. In addition, the amplifier is Control-4-capable and therefore ideal for use in smart homes. The operation is also adapted to the individual needs of the user: it is done either directly on the device via rotary control or display on the front panel or externally via the browser. Made settings can be saved. If necessary, access to the device is protected with a password. With the timer function, operation can even be automated, e.g. music in the breakfast room at 7:00 a.m., off the terrace at 10:00 p.m....
In combination with the very easy-to-use Touchpanel TP 4200, the AMP 4200 is interesting for anyone who wants quick and uncomplicated on-site operation, e.g. in the wellness area. The WHD Touch Panel, TP 4200, is a programmable control element for flush-mounting. The combination of touch and action buttons provides the best comfort in control with a quick selection of certain important functions. The control panel also includes a timer function and password protection for unwanted access.
With the WHD PC software TP4200, you also get an operating option via computer. This allows multiple AMP 4200s to be controlled from the reception desk with one PC, e.g. switching the source in the wellness area and programming the timer.
For example, if the hotelier is on holiday and his staff cannot control the music, he can do it from the pool using the Console app.
The black metal housing with dimensions of 430 × 60 × 320 mm is a standalone device that, thanks to the included angle adapters, can also be easily installed as a single rack unit in any 19" rack. WHD emphasizes sustainability in terms of power consumption: the AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier operates very energy-efficiently and generates no additional heat that would need to be dissipated via air conditioning, for example from the technical room. Via the integrated power-saving function, the AMP 4200 automatically switches to standby mode when no music is playing.
WHD offers the perfect service with pre-set digital signal processor (DSP) settings - several per speaker for different installation situations: there are special settings for acoustically unfavorable installation situations such as corners or "close to the wall".
In addition, WHD offers another special service for customers, integrators, and installers. These can define the respective zones including speakers in advance using a WHD-owned online tool. Based on this data, WHD acoustic experts program the AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier according to the customer's specific requirements. When ordering the service "Programming of the AMP 4200 / AMP 1200" you will receive the necessary instructions by email within a short time. The delivery time of the device with the already pre-set presets is approx. 2 weeks. The inputs/outputs are labeled on the device. Should the amplifier be damaged, all settings are documented with us and can be restored immediately. All this saves a lot of time and provides security in the process.
