Lending operations continue, communication is facilitated
At the Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin (ZLB), 15 contactless VoiceBridge intercom systems of the "Standard and Bluetooth" model from WHD were installed. At consulting and service desks, a VoiceBridge intercom is now mounted on both the inside and outside of the sneeze guards. In addition, employees have the option of moving freely in the room with the Bluetooth headset during conversations. At both ZLB locations, the Berlin City Library (BStB) in Mitte and the America Memorial Library (AGB) in Kreuzberg, operations have continued since the end of February with restrictions due to Corona protection measures. FFP2 masks, which offer better protection, are now mandatory when visiting the libraries.

Since the resumption of lending operations, staff and visitors have reported unclear communication, many inquiries, and comprehension problems.
