The WR 250 DSP HS is a Bluetooth/(W)LAN receiver incl. 2x50W stereo amplifier and an integrated DSP (Digital Signal Processor) with connections for non-streaming-capable loudspeakers, which can be installed on a DIN rail. Music from many apps on end devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and computers can be heard on the connected loudspeakers in high-quality Hi-Fi sound in no time at all.
The WR 250 DSP HS receives music, e.g., from a smartphone or tablet via the WHD multi-player app or via any music apps using AirPlay*, AirPlay2*, DLNA, or UPnP, and plays it back through the connected loudspeakers.
A proprietary algorithm has been developed for the DSP chip, which performs dynamic sound adaptation in the loudspeaker. This technology, WHD Adaptive Sound Plus, ensures, among other things, that the listener experiences high-quality sound even at low volumes. 3 presets can be selected: Neutral, Loudness, Extra Bass.
An external audio source can be connected to the Line-In. The WR 250 DSP HS can be operated via the Ethernet socket, via WLAN, or via Bluetooth.
Using our free WHD Multiroom Player APP (Link to video), you can also select the music program from Deezer* and the integrated internet radio. Thanks to the MemoRadio function, your station playlist with your favorite stations is immediately on air after switching on the WR250 receiver, without the need for a smartphone or tablet.
An optionally available KNX gateway can control the WR250 and other WHD (W)LAN devices – such as the WR 55, WR 205, the Qube (XL), and the AirBridge Pro. For example, an internet radio station can be selected via KNX, which is played directly by the WLAN module. No smartphone or tablet is required for this. Furthermore, the volume can be controlled and the module switched off via KNX.
The WR 250 receiver in conjunction with the WHD Multiroom Player app and other WHD (W)LAN devices allows you to build a multiroom system tailored to your needs. Listen to different music in different rooms at the same time.
Combine the WR 250 with our exciters from our Invisible Loudspeaker program and get an almost invisible (W)LAN sound system. Install the WR 250 DSP HS on the DIN rail of your distributor and connect the exciters via speaker cable. The exciters can be attached to any desired surface such as suspended ceilings, walls, furniture, cabinets, and counters in the room and use the surface as a resonant body. Hidden and optimal placement gives you invisible and exciting sound.
