The WHD Touch Panel, TP 4200, is a programmable wall control for audio systems, designed for flush-mount installation. It is suitable for the multi-zone amplifier AMP 4200 and the mixing amplifier AMP 1200. The combination of touch and action buttons provides the best control comfort with quick selection of important functions. Additionally, the control panel includes a timer function and password protection for unwanted access.
The TP 4200 is an optional, central control element for the multi-zone amplifier AMP 4200 and the mixing amplifier AMP 1200 from WHD: One or more users can remotely control and organize the defined music zones of an amplifier. The combination of pre-set touch and action buttons ensures quick and reliable access to important functions.
Operation is very simple and includes two selectable languages (German, English). Installation is straightforward and quick due to a step-by-step guide. Zone and source naming is easily done on the TP4200. The action buttons include the functions: Mute, source selection, and volume control for the respective music zone. Additionally, an acoustic and haptic feedback can be set as desired.
The touch panel can be connected to LAN via RJ 45 / POE. Additionally, connection via WLAN is also possible. Power can be supplied either via a PoE adapter or via an external 12VDC power cable.
Up to four mono zones and up to two stereo zones can be configured per control unit, making the touch panel ideal for smart home systems. The configuration of a panel can be done individually or synchronized with an already configured TP 4200. Both a single touch panel and multiple touch panels can control a multi-zone amplifier. Up to 4 amplifiers can even be controlled via the free PC software.
For each zone, 3 volume levels are available for the maximum volume: Loud (0dB), moderate (-6dB), background music (-12 dB). Based on these settings, optimized DSP settings for connected WHD speakers are selected and thus optimally adapted for hearing.
The TP 4200's timer function allows radio and music to be played automatically depending on time and zone: This way, it can be defined which sound source should be switched on or off in one or more zones at a specific time. It is also possible to define specific days per timer setting: For example, Monday to Friday from 8 AM internet radio for the breakfast room, on weekends lounge music until 10:30 PM on the terrace.
Password protection also prevents unauthorized persons from making unwanted changes directly in the settings. In the touch panels, individual zones that should not be controlled via the respective touch panel can also be hidden.
Additionally, the control touchscreen can serve as a clock display, as several screen options are offered: 2x clock motifs, 3x WHD logo motifs, 1x dark display motif. For commercial use, we also offer customized screen savers, e.g., with customer logos, upon request.
The modern and elegant design blends into any interior and is timeless. The wall installation can be done in a simple flush-mount box. An additional frame is not required. The touch panel is therefore a clever addition for both domestic and commercial areas.
